Three cars from The Catalpa Falls Group’s railcar fleet (the Catalpa Falls, Rocky River, and Chester County) have been sold to the Heber Valley Historic Railroad Authority in Utah. On Friday, November 1, 2024, all three cars arrived near the South Platte River Bridge in Denver, Colorado via Amtrak’s train 5, the California Zephyr. BNSF GP39-2 #2854 picked them up and put them on a westbound train Denver to Provo, Utah later that evening. Photos and videos by Colorado Zephyr.
